# WhatsApp Business API coexistence

**WhatsApp Business API coexistence** allows you to connect your WhatsApp Business application directly to **MINDO** through Meta's official API, using the same phone number.

## What you can do with coexistence in MINDO

With coexistence active, you can:

* **Connect your WhatsApp Business number to MINDO without leaving the app.**
* **Send and receive messages from both platforms** without losing information.
* **See in MINDO the messages sent from the app** as echo messages, to maintain complete traceability.
* **Use MINDO's advanced features**, such as automated responses, CRM integration, performance metrics, team visibility, and more.

  Currently, full synchronization of message history and contacts is not available. Messages prior to the connection will not be shown in MINDO.

## Requirements to enable coexistence

To activate coexistence between your WhatsApp Business account and MINDO, some requirements defined by Meta and by the platform's technical configuration must be met:

    Meta reviews the history and quality of messaging activity before approving coexistence.

    You must have version **2.24.17 or later** of WhatsApp Business installed.

    Your WhatsApp number must be correctly linked to your **Meta Business Manager** account.

    Currently, coexistence is not available in some countries such as Nigeria and South Africa.

  <Step title="Consistent activity">
    You need to open the WhatsApp Business app **at least once every 14 days**. If you don't, Meta may remove the connection, affecting message delivery in MINDO.

## How coexistence works within MINDO

When you activate coexistence, MINDO connects directly to the WhatsApp Business API to manage the messages your number receives and sends.

* If you send or reply from the **WhatsApp Business app**, MINDO will show that message as an **echo**, reflecting the user's activity.
* If you send a message from **MINDO**, the customer will see it normally in their WhatsApp chat.
* Both channels remain synchronized, so your team can work with full visibility and control.

This way, you can keep using the mobile app while MINDO automates processes, records conversations, and generates reports within your CRM.
