If you’re using the WhatsApp Business platform for your business, it’s important to add a credit card so everything runs without interruptions.

Why do it?

Your account uses a conversation-based pricing model, so by registering a credit card you ensure that:
  • Your business can continue sending messages without stopping due to lack of a payment method.
  • Everything is automated and hassle-free.
  • You have a smoother experience for you and your customers.

Steps to add the card

1

Go to the WhatsApp Business panel

Access the panel where you manage your WhatsApp Business account.
2

Select the account

Identify the account you want to use for payments and click on the 3-dot icon or More options.
3

Access payment settings

Choose Manage account settings (or similar) to access the payment settings.
4

Add a payment method

In the payments section, click on Add payment method.
5

Enter your card details

Fill in the following fields:
  • Name on the card
  • Card number
  • Expiration date
  • Security code (CVV)
6

Verify the card

After saving, you may be asked to verify the card (for example with a code sent to your phone or email).
7

Confirmation

Once the card is approved, it will be active to receive charges corresponding to platform usage.

What to keep in mind

Make sure the card is enabled for international or online payments, as the platform may require it.
  • In some countries only certain card brands may be accepted (for example Visa or Mastercard).
  • Keep your billing information correctly updated to avoid interruptions.
